Filling You in on iceBike 2020

iceBike 2020

IceBike is a fantastic event for anyone involved in business with bikes. This gathering offers inspiration, support, and fantastic networking opportunities amongst other bike business owners and product manufacturers. Building relationships with the passionate people behind these brands offer brilliant industry insights and many brands from big to small showcase newly released products.

Additionally, attendance is a fantastic investment for your business, as there are technical training and advice sessions and seminars throughout the three days. Plus, you can go and get your questions answered directly in the Business Services Area.

This year’s seminar guest list was star-studded with Sir Chris Hoy, who attended on Wednesday to deliver a ‘New SiS Product Workshop’. Another popular seminar was ‘Brexit and The Bicycle Industry’ delivered by Peter Eland. The economic uncertainty due to the UK’s exit from the EU can be particularly worrying for businesses but in this seminar, the Bicycle Association looked at what this means for the cycling industry.

In an iceBike first, guests were given an exclusive MY21 preview from Shimano – presented by Boy Oudenampsen. The component brand presented some fantastic learning opportunities – but also a non-disclosure agreement!

Elsewhere, Freewheel, Madison B2B, Shimano Service Centres, Garmin Myagi Training and retail best-practice seminars were taking place around the centre, all of which were proving popular with attendees. Once the event ended for the evening, attendees were of course invited to network and unwind socially over drinks.

If you missed it this year, next year promises to be even bigger and better, with more fantastic seminars and big-name speakers. To find out more about iceBike, you can click here to visit their website.
